IMPACT, the Professional Visual Artists Association, Israel

IMPACT was founded with the aim of changing the artist's status in society and redefining it while maintaining the artist's personal freedom and dignity. It initially functioned as an artists’ forum until 2002. On March 18, 2002, it received official standing following elections that were held at the Painters and Sculptors Association Israel and was recognized as a nonprofit professional association bearing the name IMPACT (Association No. 58-037-942-8). It is supported by some 700 members - painters, sculptors, photographers, video artists and performance artists - and also receives funding from the Ministry of Science, Culture and Sports. The Association engages the services of a legal advisor, a copyright consultant and an advertising consultant.
